About
Adam Demanuele is one of Malta’s leading seafood chefs and restaurateurs, recognised for redefining contemporary seafood dining through a deeply personal Mediterranean perspective rooted in craftsmanship, simplicity and the sea.
With more than 25 years of experience in hospitality and gastronomy, Adam began his professional journey in St Julian’s as chef-patron of La Dolce Vita. During his five years at the restaurant, he developed the foundations that would shape his career as both a chef and restaurateur. He later worked extensively across Malta’s luxury hospitality sector, collaborating with leading five-star hotels and high-end culinary operations.
His career also took him beyond Malta and into the world of European motorsport hospitality. Among his most treasured professional memories is the opportunity to have cooked for the late Alessandro Zanardi while travelling across some of Europe’s major racing circuits, an experience Adam continues to regard as one of the proudest moments of his career.
Following difficult experiences within previous business partnerships, Adam made the decision to begin again independently and create something entirely his own. That determination led to the establishment of Adam’s Fish Shop in Mosta, a concept that would help transform the way many Maltese households purchase, prepare and experience fish and seafood.
Combining the instincts of a chef with the precision of traditional fishmongering, Adam introduced a distinctive approach to seafood retail: meticulously cleaned and prepared fish, premium sourcing standards and chef-crafted dishes designed to be cooked and enjoyed at home. His emphasis on quality, technique and accessibility contributed to a new local seafood culture, establishing standards of preparation and presentation that would later be reflected across the wider market.
A decade later, Adam developed his vision further with the opening of The Seafood Market Grill by Adam, a restaurant devoted exclusively to fish and seafood. Its ingredient-led philosophy, remarkable variety of species and uncompromising focus on product quality earned recognition from the Michelin Guide and established the restaurant as one of Malta’s notable seafood dining destinations.
Adam is also highly regarded within Malta’s superyacht industry, supplying and catering for luxury yachts berthing around the islands. His reputation for pristine seafood, reliability and highly personalised service has enabled him to build trusted relationships with yacht chefs and an international clientele.
Beyond his restaurants, Adam operates a luxury outside-catering and experiential-dining division, creating bespoke events for high-profile guests, prestigious brands and private clients. Together with his team, he has catered for Malta’s prime ministers, internationally recognised personalities and guests from global business circles.
Deeply connected to Malta’s maritime identity, Adam’s cuisine reflects a life lived between the fish counter, the harbour and the kitchen. His culinary philosophy is founded upon exceptional ingredients, simplicity and restraint. Rather than overwhelming the product, he allows it to remain the central character—using purity of flavour, seasonality, texture and atmosphere to create experiences that move beyond dining and into storytelling.
This philosophy took centre stage during Chapter III — The One with Baron Munchausen, where Adam served as the Featured Chef of The Supper Club | Malta. Staged upon the historic St Elmo Breakwater, the five-course experience interpreted the Mediterranean and the Baron’s fantastical adventures through seafood, smoke, salt, texture and theatrical presentation.
For his contribution to the chapter, and for the quality, discipline and vision demonstrated through his work, Adam Demanuele was awarded The Supper Club | Malta, Distinguished Mark./≥≥
